Is it correct to say "I feel bad about that" or "I feel badly about that"

You say, "I feel badly about that." The word "badly" is an adverb and adverbs modify verbs. In this case, the verb "feel." "Bad" is an adjective, and adjectives modify nouns. There is no noun in that sentence.
